From the course: PHP Tips, Tricks, and Techniques

Welcome

- [David] Hi, I'm David Powers. Welcome to PHP Tips and Tricks. This is a weekly series in which I'll zoom in on a particular aspect of PHP to help you become a smarter, more productive developer. Your time is precious, so I'll try to keep each episode to no more than 10 minutes. Although I'll be answering some frequently asked questions about PHP, I don't want this to be a series of yawn-inducing tutorials. Whether you're a beginner or a more seasoned developer, I hope there'll be plenty of wow moments that broaden your understanding of what PHP can do. I'll occasionally devote consecutive weeks to the same subject, building a mini project, but each episode will be complete in itself. To follow along, you'll need a good understanding of PHP basics, but don't let that put you off if you've only just started to learn PHP. Treat this series as a weekly dose of inspiration and come back to individual episodes when you're ready to implement the techniques in your own projects. A lot of the code in the exercise files is commented to help you understand how it works. But when I'm using a database, the download files don't usually contain the data or database connection. If there's something you'd like to see covered in this series, feel free to send me a tweet @foundationphp. Alternatively, use the feedback form on the page for this series. I hope we'll have a lot of fun as well as learning some useful techniques along the way. So make a date and join me, David Powers, every week for PHP Tips and Tricks.
