- [Narrator] Now that we've looked at the general structure and purpose of the stamp brush, we're going to go ahead now and actually create the monarch stamp brush. And as I go through this, I'll point out along the way, there are certain procedural things you have to do in order to properly create a stamp brush. For one thing, you can't make it from a layered document. It has to be flat. And secondly, it can't have color, or any background in it. It has to be on a white background. And the reason for that is, anything that's black, when we capture the brush, will be considered the visible part of the stamp. Anything that's white will be considered transparent. So, to that end, we're going to fill the background with white, and then we're going to drop the stamp, and I can do that by going to Layers, Drop.
