- [Instructor] In this chapter, we're going to create a poster for the monarch sanctuary in Pacific Grove, which is adjacent to Monterey, California. Beginning with a photo of a monarch, we'll first extract it from the background using the selection brush. Let's get selecting. You're probably not watching this in order, but in the order that I did make these, in terms of the chapters, this is probably the most complex one. This is the one where I'm kind of taking everything that we've talked about throughout the courses and using it in this one. If you haven't watched the other ones, you may want to also check those out. Let's get started. The selection brush is new since the last version of Painter and it allows you to paint a selection. If you're familiar with Photoshop and being able to do quick select, it's very similar to that.
