Introducing the concept of axes of motion

All of the artists gestural expressiveness is communicated by six axis of motion combined with an advanced input device like a Wacom Tablet, pressure savvy applications like Painter and Photoshop take advantage of this information to faithfully simulate traditional mark making media. Not all input devices are equal in terms of the axis of motion. To fully understand and explore this concept, watch my movie, introduction to the six axis of motion in the Wacom Essential Training course. The main thing to understand is that the more axis of motion you have, the more faithfully an application can simulate their traditional counterparts. The standard pen that comes with both the Cintiq and Intuos is the grip pen, which comes with five axes of motion. One recommendation, if you want the widest range of motion, the Wacom Art Pen possesses the capacity of sensing six axes of motion. Making it the choice for maximum expressive input.
