Organizing with palette drawers

- [Instructor] Painter's interface is deep, really deep. There are currently somewhere around 90 individual Panels that are necessary to contain all of Painter's functionality. The basic unit of Painter's interface is the Panel. Panels can then be grouped into Pallettes. For many versions these two interface entities were sufficient to organize Painter. But the increasing number of Panels has necessitated a third organizational layer, Drawers. In this movie, we'll take a look at this much needed interface organizer. So when I started out here I mentioned that the basic unit of Painter is a Panel. And I'm just going to show you that, so, here is an individual Panel. And as you noticed, I just pulled it out of here so obviously I can put it back in. When you start to aggregate Panels together they're put into an entity called a Pallette. And so those, for the longest time were the two layers of Painter. But now you have this third entity of a Drawer, that's what I've used here to place…
