Using the funnel method to act as a paint reservoir

We have looked at the concept I refer to as dipping a paintbrush into a photograph. Now we're going to take it a step further and funnel the photograph through the brush to act as its paint reservoir. This unique form of cloning results in brush strokes that maintain all of their expressive qualities, but the applied color is smart. In that it is sample from a point on a source image and applied at the same location on a destination image. Confused? Let's take a look. Okay, so here we are and I'll start off by just telling you painter is pretty good at this. Other apps have variations on this. For example, Photoshop has its art history brush, but, I know of no other app that is as sophisticated about being able to clone through a brush as Painter is. It's just, it was another one of it's earliest concepts and it has remained with it ever since, so it's very good at this concept, but don't let me deter you from looking at other applications.
