Installing Perl and Komodo for Windows
- [Voiceover] To follow along with the exercises in Windows, I recommend the ActiveState installation of Perl, and the free version of their Komodo Editor. Here's how to install these components on Windows. So this is the ActiveState website, where you can download Perl. If you've already installed Perl on your Windows system, you may be able to skip this step, but you'll need to make sure that your Perl is version 5.18 or later. Perl is available free from ActiveState at this website. I've already downloaded the installer to my desktop, so I'll minimize this. And there it is, it's the MSI Installer. And I double-click on it, Press Next, and Accept the Terms of the License Agreement, which I have read very carefully. And press Next. I'm gonna accept all the Defaults here. Notice the location, c:\Perl64 and I'm gonna want to remember that, 'cause I'm gonna need it later. And Next. And the path, file extension, that's good. Select Next. And Install. I'll get the little UAC Warning here.…
