Building the slider

When building your slider, there are a number of things to take into consideration. First of all, you want to make sure that your tripods and support are firmly secured. It all starts with a stable platform. Make sure that your tripods are very, very stable and secure, all of your locks are locked down as well as they can be, and you can even add weights to the bottom of them to make them even more secure. Not just your tripods and support, but every piece that connects together is locked down and does not move at all. Even your head of your actual pencil head or whatever kind of multiple accesses you might have on top, make sure every part of the connections is secure. Next, you want to make sure that your setup is as leveled as possible. If it's not level, you're going to see a great difference in the end of your shot, by the time you finish.
