Hyperlapse: Medium tech (measuring and marking)

Keith just got done doing a hyperlapse using all the manual sort of tools, which works great. Again, this is really a combination of time-lapse and stop-motion, and it's a lot of trial and error as well as just fun and experimentation. After all, if you want super precise movement you're probably going to use a motorized slider. But I'm going to add a little bit of precision here with a little bit of extra tech. By attaching a gimble-type system to the tripod head it makes it a bit easier to move things around. And this can move in and out as needed. Now, let's attach the camera. In this case it's a L-plate so you see there's a mounting plate here and here giving us two points of contact. And I'll tighten that in. And essentially now, it's kind of cool, I've got two different points of rotation, making it easier as I move to adjust the camera and frame things up. Now I would keep two hands on the camera as I move it, so that it's a smaller movement, but essentially here we can get…
