Understanding how to load film into a camera

You all have been really patient. We're finally getting close to going out and making some photographs. But first, I'm going to give you a little bit more information. All these cameras that I showed you load a little bit differently. And I'm going to walk you through how this particular camera works. You may have to search a little bit to find out range finder cameras, the plastic cameras, they're all a little bit different but that information will be out there for you. On this particular camera, this silver button here releases this knob, so you press this silver button and pull up on the knob. And then you give it a little tug at the end and that releases the back. Once we've released the back of the camera, you can see the film canister will sit here and will transport the film across this, the area here that opens as the shutter and it goes to here on the take up spool. These rollers, keep it firmly on these cogs that help drive the film forward. This is a little pressure plate…
