Okay, let's have a little talk about difference between pros and amateurs. First of all pros obviously everyone knows that's where people make their income. You're professional, that's what you do, it's connotes a certain standard of quality and you're getting paid for that quality. But what is amateur mean? Most people just think it means you don't earn any money. In reality amateur is french for lover of, and I love that. So amateur is really not about whether or not you make money, amateur is about whether or not you love what you do and I think that's a fantastic distinction to remember. So let's back up for a second and think about what it means to be a professional travel photographer. That, that mythical thing that maybe exists, maybe doesn't exist anymore. Alright, so, very different than amateurs. First of all, biggest difference, I think, and it might surprise you is lots of research.
