I love HDR photography. The ability to capture a wide dynamic range and really show the detail of a subject, it just unlocks things for me, and I think it makes fantastic images, particularly when you balance it out with a relatively subtle capture. Now, some folks love over the top HDR and I'll make that too, from time to time. But what I decided to do here was take my love of HDR photography and my love of time lapse and put the two together. And what a perfect place for this, Zion National Park. A beautiful, crisp Winter day, we went out shooting actually two days in a row. Tough shooting situations, really high contrast, lots of different lighting conditions to deal with, and the HDR approach really unlocked the details. Now, we took several different methods here of shooting HDR, and I'm going to walk you though all the necessary equipment that you need in order to pull this off.
