- Well, for this image, I wanted to try something a little different. I wanted to do a night scene and I wanted to get something that said New York and I found a spot where the Chrysler Building was kind of in the background and it's probably my favorite piece of New York architecture, so it was natural for me to want to photograph it. But also, I'm in an angle where there's cars under the FDR. The cars are moving, and because it's dark, I thought if I did a long exposures, we'd get the blur of the car lights and that might be kind of pretty. Also, it's relevant in the sense that this city never sleeps. There's always cars, there's always traffic and it's always moving. So I thought, that was my idea behind this particular frame, so I scouted out a location that I thought might work. I immediately set up my tripod and framed it in a way that I think might work.
