Understanding the history of Cuba

- There's really no place like Cuba. And a lot of that is because of its recent history. And I want to share a few points with you, because I found it helpful when I was taking pictures there. Now I'm gonna start in 1952 with Batista who was a dictator. He came into power via military coup. This actually lead to the revolution, Fidel Castro is a name that we all know. He was the leader of that revolution, and that began in 1956. Now the revolution went three years, from 1956 to 1959. And it was successful. Now the key players, aside from Castro, were Che Guevara, and also General Cienfuegos. The reason why I bring those people up is because you're gonna see their faces everywhere. There aren't commercial billboards, as we know it, in Cuba, but there are billboards that site different aspects of the revolution, and definitely honor these people, Cienfuegos, and Che Guevara, and Fidel Castro in particular.
