- All right, well, with these next 10 portraits, these next 10 posed portraits I'm gonna show you, you may notice they're a little bit different because I put a different lens on. I used a 35 instead of the 58 or 50 normal lens that I did yesterday. I mean it really doesn't matter what you use, but I tend to like a wider angle. This isn't, we're not out to flatter someone. This isn't commercial portraiture and I find that the intimacy you get by being close to your subject in these posed portrait street situations really is translated to the viewer of the images. And the challenge of a 35, of course, is that it allows more of an angle view and if you have a zoom lens that's fine. I would use it 35 or 50 and see what you're gonna get and move in close. Again as you get more comfortable doing this, it'll be easier for you to do it.
