Understanding camera bodies

So what do we want to consider when we're thinking about using a camera body with portraiture? Well, here on this table, I have a couple of different options, ranging from 35 millimeter format here. We have some point- and-shoot or plastic or toy cameras here. I have a medium format camera and then my grandfather's camera I'll talk about it a little bit later, and then over here a large format camera. Now when thinking about portraiture, one of things that we want to think about is how that camera body affects the subject. Now if I am to pull out say a little plastic toy camera like this one over here, well, it's going to do something different to the subject. It's going to cause a different reaction or create a different reaction, then say if I am to pull out a different camera, or if I am to set up this large format camera here that's made out of brass and wood.
