Setting up the first shots of the fjords

- Now, tides are extremely important. Not just on the coast, but on the fjord land as well. Now, this land is fueled by the sea, and the difference between low and high tide here in Milford Sound is dramatic. This entire area I've been exploring is completely covered by the sea in about four hours. So, by the low tide receding, it gives me all these interesting foregrounds. What's really catching my eye is the green moss on these rocks. The green is so vibrant, it's beautiful. And, with the cloudy day here on Milford, which is very common, there's over 200 days of rain here. So what we're seeing in these nice cloudy skies is pretty typical. Knowing that, I really wanna get some color in the scene. So I'm gonna use the foreground to really give me a lot of punch, and the background's gonna be a little monochromatic in nature. Now, in order to really free myself and enable the foreground to really come to me I just explored. I put the tripod down, I got the camera out, I raised the ISO,…
