- Keeping your camera gear clean can very important, of course, for a variety of different reasons. And sometimes that means blowing dust off your camera or lenses, even the internal components of your camera. And for that, I do strongly recommend using a device that is specially designed for that purpose and designed to be safe, most importantly, for your camera. The Rocket Air here is a blower, very simple device in concept, but it does a great job. It has a nozzle here so that you get a nice strong spray of air, but it also helps to make sure that you're not damaging your equipment. So, even something as simple as blowing off the front lens element of your lens so that when you go to wipe the lens clean, there's not any grit or dust that might scratch that front lens element. When you do change lenses, also not a bad idea to check that rear element and as needed apply a little bit of cleaning, blowing off any dust or other debris, and even within the camera.
