Applicability, definitions, and accident reporting

- The FAA has very specific rules that must be followed in order to fly your drone in the National Airspace, or NAS. These rules don't apply to every single small unmanned aircraft that you fly, but it does apply to any that you do fly for profit. That profit could be a benefit of some kind. It doesn't necessarily mean that you will make money with your work. It could mean that you get tickets to a sporting event or some kind of other benefit. In addition to what activities this applies to, we will go through a few definitions and what to do in case of an accident. This does not apply if the aircraft is flown strictly for hobby or recreational use. It does not apply if the aircraft is operated within a community-based set of safety guidelines and within the programming of a nationwide community-based organization.
