- So, you can look at your histogram, you can know your exposure theory really well. Sometimes, it's still just hard to know what the right exposure is. I'm going to frame up a shot here. I'm looking through this little window of this building, and I half press my shutter button to meter, I check my shutter speed. I'm at a 60th of a second, so I know I can handle this, and I take this and you know what, I don't like the way that that white window over there is intersecting with the window frame over here. I'm going to move over here just a little bit and shoot that. I know that's a tiny tiny little detail I'm talking about, but that kind of stuff matters when you're composing. You got to pay attention to all that stuff, and you probably also should pay attention to the plant that's sticking up in the scene so I'm going to reach out here and get rid of those, and boy, I'd like to get that leaf out of the upper right, but maybe it's not a problem and I'm out of hands.
