Backlighting your subject

- Alright so the sun has just risen and it is a beautiful morning. And what I'm going to do is take advantage of the light that we have now. And when you're working with an industrial location a lot of time what you want to do is you want to try to think about working with the old building of course, but then look to the fringe or the edge of things. Maybe there's an alley, an old fence, or an open space like we have here. In those environments often I like to work with back light if I can. And what that means is the subject is standing in front of the sun and the sun is coming from behind him or her. Backlight tends to work best in the early morning like we have now, or in the late afternoon. So I want to try to create some of those images. One, because they're different than that old building so I have a range of different types of photographs. And two, it just allows me to create a mood which you really can't create any other way.
