- This course is designed to explore all of the core features on Nikon cameras. Now, each Nikon camera is a little bit different, so depending upon the model that you're shooting with, you may find that things are slightly different on your camera. Maybe the exact layout of the buttons or the menu choices will vary slightly, but the core concepts are still the same. You're going to learn how to work with the mode dial to dial in the correct settings, and how to use the command and control dials to really refine those settings based upon the shooting conditions. You'll also learn how to take care of your camera, cleaning its sensor, making sure that the battery is charged, and how to shoot under many different challenging situations. This course will serve as an excellent starting point so you can take the skills of using your camera and then explore other creative options, either by watching additional courses online here, or by going out on your own and shooting with confidence. Now, in order to get the most out of this course, I would encourage you to please consider watching it in a linear fashion. A lot of times we build upon skills, so if you jump right to the middle of the course, you might miss some of the precursor skills that are necessary to succeed. Also, since each camera's a little bit different, be sure to take a moment to pause the video from time to time and find the control on your camera. There are a lot of buttons and settings on a typical camera, so making sure that you take the time to actually locate them on your camera is important. As such, consider watching just a couple of movies at a time, and then practicing for a bit, taking the skills and putting them into action. This will help you cement the knowledge in your brain, and really grow and become more proficient.
