Bounce flash to create a key light

- As we've seen the great advantage of getting your flash off camera is you can put it in a more natural position. Not only that, you can fit it with modifiers and bounce it off things so that you can effectively make it a larger light source and thus change its quality. So I'm here right now with Zack, who just started wearing glasses, so I've got to take a picture of him. Now, it's a little dim in here. I've already metered it out, and there is no way that I can get a shutter speed that's high enough to shoot this without really cranking my ISO up. I'm bringing this up because don't forget, you don't want to shoot with flash if you don't have to, if you have nice natural light and this light might look nice to you in this video shot right now, but it turns out it's actually dim enough that in my camera I can't get a good exposure so I want to use flash. I don't have anyone else to help me. I don't have any any light stands, I really don't have a way of getting my flash off camera so…
