- Let's talk about building your brand a little bit, because too often people think that well, my brand is my logo. Your brand isn't your logo. Your brand is a whole series of things that make up your reputation, that make up who you are within the community that create what for years we referred to as top-of-mind awareness. So when somebody thinks photography, it's on the top of their mind that they're going to think about you and your name. Now in terms of the easy stuff for branding, let's hit that first 'cause it's all the stuff that people normally think of as their brand. It's your company name for a start. Pay attention to your name. If you're using your name in your business, pay attention to the way it looks when you put it into a URL. Sometimes when you put names together and into a URL, it says something different than what you might want. So your company name is one piece. Your logo is another piece. Pay attention to the design, but once you have your logo, don't change it…
