Bus-powered storage

- For a photo storage of course, many of us are using hard drives in some form, and there are a number of different specifications that we need to think about when it comes to those storage devices. And one of those relates to power. It seems so obvious that of course our hard drives require power so that we can write data to those storage devices, but can we solve for that challenge of having an extra power adapter? We can indeed if we opt for what are referred to as bus-powered drives. So here I have a hard drive that essentially you might say does not require power or rather that it's powered via the data bus, and I have a hard drive that does require power, meaning that I need an extra power plug. I need to plug this into a wall outlet in order to get power to the drive, sufficient power anyhow, in order to power that drive.
