- [Steve] You know, when you deconstruct a photograph, it's the little things that make a big difference. Hi, I'm Steve Simon, the Passionate Photographer, and welcome to a new edition of Photo Critique of the Week. What we often do on this show is deconstruct imagery and look at some of the component parts that make them up. It's not something you do necessarily when you're out in the field, but it's something you can learn from after the fact when you look at your images and you decide what worked and what didn't. In this particular episode, I'm just going to talk about a simple concept, and that is gesture. By gesture, I mean the little things that make a photo that push it over the edge into success. That's the one thing that I think all these images have. They all have that to one degree to another, and it's these little things that I wanted to point out, because when you notice it, and if you agree with it, then it's going to be something that you're going to be watching for…
