Capturing the world at night
- [Steve] One of my favorite things to do is to go out not during the day or even when the light is particularly golden and beautiful, but at night. Because at night everything changes. There's a magic to capturing the world at night. And it's something that our digital cameras, if you happen to be shooting digitally out there, which I suspect most of you are, can do amazingly well. We're in this renaissance in terms of technology, in terms of what we can do. So this week on Photo Critique of the Week, hi, I'm Steve Simon, the Passionate Photographer by the way. And this week we're going to focus on night photography and shooting at night. And not the kind of tripod stuff, but more of sort of the fast-moving action, like this dance shot. You know, in my experience, shooting at 3,200 really is not a big deal anymore for most cameras. It's a pretty high ISO.
