- So I'm still working on figuring out this key light thing, I've zeroed in on a position but there's still a number of decisions that I can make here, and I'm starting to get an idea of a final image, now honestly, normally if was just shooting this, I would spend quite a while shooting just with this one light because I was really liking some of the things that I was getting there, but I want to work up to the point of showing you a full three light lighting system, so now what I'm thinking is this is going to be a kind of traditional well lit formal portrait, so I've got my key light in place, I'll need to work on getting the other lights in place but before I do that, I want to make a change to the key light, I like the position of it, but I don't like the quality of it, it's to hard edged, if I was to continue to work with just that light, I might just delve deeper into that hard edge kind of film to our shadow thing, but I would like to soften up the shadow some.
