Cleaning your image sensor

- One of the greatest benefits of having a camera with and inter-changeable lens system, is the ability to change lenses. One of the drawbacks is, is you're putting a giant hole on the front of your camera that could really be prone to dust and debris. So here are a few tips to keep your camera sensor clean. First up, when you're changing a lens, make sure that the camera is actually turned off. This will reduce the power going through the camera, so when you detach the lens, you're not seeing inside the camera and it's not pulling things into it, such as dust and debris. Also, if you're going to be changing the camera and swapping a lens out, try to do it in a dust-free environment. Indoors, in a car etc. Not out in the middle of a desert with blowing wind. Now, there are a couple of things to think about. I'm going to put that lens back on. Your camera offers the ability to actually clean it's sensor, itself. It's just part of the menu.
