- So I was riding my bike out of Monument Valley in northern Arizona, and the sun had mostly gone down, but I'm riding along, and then, all of a sudden, whoosh! The sun comes out and just lights up the one monument in the area, and I made a couple of mistakes here. My first mistake was I went uh, I don't have enough time to shoot that, I just have to enjoy it. And then I rode along, and the light kept staying, and so I thought, no no no no, I've got to shoot it. And I pulled over and I could tell, even as I pulled over, I'd already waited too long. The light was starting to go. I didn't feel like I had time to get my camera out. It was changing very, very quickly, so I pulled out my iPhone. And I, of course, had been envisioning what I was seeing in my mind's eye, which was this spectacularly lit, incredible rock feature.
