- Let's talk a little bit about feedback. The importance of feedback is especially, well, positive feedback obviously helps build your self-esteem and your confidence level. Bad feedback is also a plus because it helps you know what you're doing wrong. Years ago in another life, I used to say, "I don't need to know what we do right as a company. "I need to know what we do wrong." When you know what you do wrong, it becomes an incredible experience and an opportunity to fix things and make them stronger. So let's talk a little bit about feedback beyond your family. Obviously your family, they're a little bit prejudiced, they're too close to you to really understand what it is you're trying to do, not everybody, but a lot of times it's a little bit jaded. They love you. They want to see you succeed. They want to tell you what you want to hear. But to go a step further, you need feedback outside of your family and immediate friends.
