- I love black and white photography. I'm a sucker for a good black and white picture. Hi, I'm Steve Simon, the Passionate Photographer and welcome to another episode of Critique of the Week. For this week, I asked fellow instructor and friend of mine, Ben Long to send over some of his black and white images because I know he too loves black and white. Although, we're very different photographers. I mean, Ben, it's rare to see an image of a person in one of his pictures whereas I love street photography and I love all the people that inhabit it, inhabit the streets and I love capturing them. So let's take a look at what Ben has sent over. As I usually like to do, I like to sort of take a quick glance at all of the pictures before coming back to comment on them and this gives you a good chance to sort of look at them and make your initial reactions and critiques with the pictures that we're looking at here.
