Diopter adjustment

- If your camera includes a viewfinder, there's a very good chance that it also includes a diopter adjustment. That diopter adjustment enables you to, essentially, adjust the focus of the viewfinder display to match your less than perfect vision, if that's the case for you as it is for me. There are various ways that you could go about adjusting the diopter. You could set your camera on a tripod, for example, and use autofocus to focus on a target, so that you know that you've achieved good focus and then, through the viewfinder, you can adjust the diopter until the viewfinder also appears in focus. But there's another shortcut that can be very helpful for adjusting that diopter and that's to just simply use the display inside the viewfinder to adjust the diopter. When the text, the numbers and letters that appear in that viewfinder display appear in focus, your diopter adjustment is adjusted correctly.
