Downloading your user manual

- Every Canon camera is a little bit different. And even the different versions or software updates can make things move a bit, or add a new feature. As such, it's important that you keep a copy of your camera manual with you when shooting, and nearby. Now, the printed manual may have gotten lost, and I actually prefer the electronic manual. First, it's always up to date. Second, it's really easy to search. If you use an application like Adobe Acrobat or Preview on a Mac, for example, or even your smartphone, you can have the handy PDF file right at hand. This means that when you're out shooting you can look something up. Or, during this class, if we talk about a button or a control, and you can't find it on your camera, well, no big deal. You can easily look that up and find it on your specific camera. It's impossible to teach you every single button on every single model of every single Canon camera. They release a lot of different cameras and things keep changing over the years. But you're going to learn the key things you need to know in this course. And as long as you keep your camera manual nearby you can look up things that might be a little bit confusing or that you can't locate on first glance.
