Dual-slot cameras

- When you capture a digital photo, of course, you're creating a file in the process and that file gets saved onto the media card in your camera, naturally, that means as photographers we need to consider what types of media cards we're going to use, but actually some cameras now include two individual slots for those media cards so you just might want to use two cards with one camera at the same time. For example here with the Canon 5D Mark IV, I have two slots available. In this case, one slot is for a compact flash card, the other slot is for an SD card, I would personally tend to favor the SD card simply because my laptop includes a built-in SD card reader, but why would you consider having two cards in the camera at the same time? There are actually two reasons, there's essentially two ways you could go about using multiple cards in the camera.
