- [Steve] Wow, a place like Dubai! I mean, if you ever get a chance to go there, you won't be disappointed photographically. Hi, my name is Steve Simon, the Passionate Photographer, and welcome to a brand new edition of Photo Critique of the Week. And this week, I thought I'd show you a few images that I made in and around Dubai. Now, again, you know me, I'm more of a documentary street photographer, but of course, you know, to tell the story sometimes, you need to have a tripod, you need to have a best practice situation. And in a place like Dubai, where the architecture is so important to the city in terms of where you are and who inhabits it, best practice means, you know, you plant those sticks and you get the best possible capture when you can, here on the deck of a hotel. Thing about using a tripod is that in Dubai of all places, you don't see necessarily a lot of security and police around, but in my experience, in less than minute when I plant a tripod anywhere in the city…
