End of day camera reset

End of day camera reset

- A very long time ago, when I was just getting started in photography, one of my mentors gave me a piece of advice, that at the end of the day, I should always put a fresh role of film into the camera. That obviously is outdated advice, but the basic principle still holds true. The idea is that your camera, at the end of a photo shoot, at the end of the day, should be ready for the next photos you think you're going to be capturing, or in the middle of the day when you're going from one location to another, getting ready to capture additional photos, trying to anticipate what camera settings you'll want to use so that you can preconfigure to the extent possible, at least giving you a better starting point for that next photographic opportunity. So here, for example, I have a relatively long lens on the camera. I've got the shutter priority mode enabled, because I was photographing a crop duster. Maybe I want to switch to some more typical settings, not such unusual settings for me…
