Examining images where rain is the subject

- I love rainy days, I love rainy nights, because lots of great pictures can be had in inclement weather. Hi, I'm Steve Simon, the passionate photographer and welcome to another episode of Photo Critique of the Week. It's going to rain down on this episode, and that's a good thing, because I know from experience that rain often translates into great photography. We just have to sort of protect ourselves so we're comfortable, protect our cameras as best we can, and get out there and start shooting. So I thought I would take a sampling of some images shot in the rain. Let me just show you what we've got here. This first image by Jim Orsetti was taken in Times Square, and I just think it really captures the fact that rain doesn't dampen the parade of tourists that come to visit New York City and Times Square. You see a lot of the selfie sticks out there. You see, this looks like a particularly professional one, but the moment is perfect, the composition is perfect. Everybody's smiling…
