Exploring the autofocus mode
- The X-T2 has a very large number of autofocus options. In fact, I'll go so far as to say it has a confusing number of autofocus options. People complained about autofocus on the X-T1 which I never understood because I found it to be a very capable system, but I think Fuji felt they needed to shore up their autofocus system when they developed the X-T2 and shore it up they did. The good news is, you might find that you can ignore a lot of its autofocus features. The basics might be all you need. Still, we're going to take a look at the complete system so that you can decide for yourself what the best options are. All of the autofocus options are now grouped into the AF/MF menu, though there are shortcuts to some of these features scattered around the camera and we'll see those later. By default, the camera is set to single point focus mode.
