Exposure bracketing and HDR shooting

- When shooting a tough scene like this, HDR and exposure bracketing really come in handy. You might notice, for example, that we have outdoor lighting, indoor lighting, windows, highlights, glass, shadows, and these are the sorts of things that are really difficult for a single file to show. Now, it is possible when working with the RAW file to do quite a bit to recover shadows and highlights, but exposure bracketing allows your camera to capture multiple images with slightly different exposure settings. Some folks will do this with a small range, just for safety, shooting a series of slightly under and over exposed shots to make sure that they can handle tough lighting conditions, such as changing cloud coverage that effects the light in the sky. Other times though, with shots like this, we have the ability to capture a wide tonal range. Setting the camera up to capture anywhere between three and nine shots with jumps between each shot, say one exposure setting, two, or even three…
