Exposure compensation on the X-T2
- Exposure compensation is one of the most important exposure tools that you have at your disposal, and the X-T2 has an interesting exposure compensation control. I love it. It's great. I use it all the time. It's probably how I get most of my exposure adjustments. It's this knob up here, of course, and I can dial in positive exposure compensation by turning it this way, negative exposure compensation by turning it this way, and my exposure compensation read-out over here reflects whatever I've dialed in. Exposure compensation works just the same on the X-T2 as it does on an SLR with a mode dial. And by that, I mean, if I'm in aperture priority mode, meaning I have decided on an aperture, when I turn exposure compensation, aperture will not change. It will get its compensation by changing shutter speed and ISO if I'm set for auto ISO.
