- Hey there. In this episode of Photo Gear Weekly, I'm going to show you a product that can make you very happy every time you use a filter on the front of your lens. They're called XumeAdapters. Let me show you how they work. I'll start off with a lens cap from XumeAdapters and it goes on and off remarkably easily thanks to magnets. But it gets even better when you're using filters. If you've ever tried to attach a filter to the front of a lens, screwing that filter on can be a real challenge. The threads are very tiny, you don't know if you've got the alignment just right but a product called a XumeAdapter makes it very easy to attach a filter in a snap just by using magnets. Now of course, this calls for a little bit of extra hardware. I've got one piece of the adapter that attaches to my filter and then another piece of the adapter that just screws right on to the lens itself.
