- Most of the shooting that I do is on location so I love shooting in studios. When you're in a studio whether it's a makeshift studio, or a beautiful dedicated studio like this there's never a telephone wire going through the thing you want to shoot, you've got complete control and that's a lot of fun. It's a very different problem set and one that can sometimes be as difficult to solve as the randomness of the outside world. But you get very different results and it's a really fun way to work. We've glossed over a couple of different subjects here that you might want to know more about. We mentioned that you do your own lighting but we haven't talked at all about lighting. There are plenty of places you can go in the library to learn more about lighting including my own strobe course.
