Flash exposure compensation

- As photographers, of course, one of the key things that we need to think about for basically every capture is exposure. And in some cases, the camera's meter might be fooled by the ambient lighting conditions and so we need to apply exposure compensation. With flash photography, that exact same concept applies. I have a good example of that here, an issue that I'm going to face when it comes to flash exposure. I'm capturing some textures here in a park, and I thought it might be interesting. I love the texture of the bark of this tree, I want to include partly the tree in the frame and then some background for context, and because I like the texture so much, I thought it might be nice to add a little bit of a fill flash effect to illuminate that texture just a little bit. In this case, I'm using a camera that has a built-in flash, I could certainly use an accessory flash as well, but I'll go ahead and pop that built-in flash and capture a test image.
