- Today we got to see and shoot something that was incredible. Chan has trained his birds so that he can take them outside and fly them because the birds consider him to be part of their flock, they will always come back to him. It's fantastic getting to watch him work, it's a real fantastic demonstration of inner species communication. Before he sets them off the fly, he goes and talks to each one and kisses them and lets them really establish, re-establish that bond and then they're off into the air and seeing birds like this fly, seeing those colors up in the air, seeing those long tails and just the incredible beauty and speed with which they fly was remarkable and getting to shoot it was incredibly fun.
