How to use this course

- In this course we're going to use a variety of Canon cameras. As such, your camera might be slightly different. With each version of a camera, manufacturers make changes. Maybe the menus look a little bit different or new features roll out. But the core functionality has been the same for many years. As such, it doesn't matter if you're using a brand new camera or one that's even several years old. You should be able to follow along. However, what I would suggest is focus on the concepts and only watch a few movies at a time. Rather than watching this entire course and then jumping out into the field to shoot, you're better off watching a chapter at a time or even just a few movies. Then go and practice the skills. This'll give you time to get familiar with the exact options available in your camera and some of its behaviors. You'll also notice with Canon cameras, depending upon the model, some have a lot of dials and buttons and some use a simplified Quick Menu. So if you don't see a dedicated button, look for the Quick Menu to get things done. All right, I've got one more piece of advice for you next, and that's to deal with the camera menu.
