Changing image format and size

- Your camera can shoot in many different formats. The exact options will vary from model to model, but essentially it breaks down into two primary categories. Capturing a JPEG image, the Joint Photographic Exports Group, or a RAW file. Let's explain the difference between each. JPEG are commonly used for distribution. They're very space efficient and easy to transmit and work with things like websites and presentation software. JPEGs are great for easily distributing images. Now, when you make a JPEG, the camera does a lot of processing in the camera. Applying sharpening and adjustments, color profiles, recipes. That's why earlier some of those creative looks were only available in JPEG. And that's great. If you are really concerned about space or you need quick upload times, or a maximum burst rate when shooting, JPEG is the way to go.
