- This week on The Practicing Photographer, we're here at the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain. To my right is Paul Taggart, an accomplished photojournalist and an actual graduate of this program when he was a wee teen. Paul, we've just finished two weeks of teaching here and you did something really different this time from how most of us normally work. If you are like me, you go out and you shoot, you dump your things into your computer, you make selects onscreen, when you find images you like, you edit them and work them up into a finished project and then, hopefully, you print them. Paul, you had the students doing something very different. - Yeah, this year, I just wanted to mix it up a little bit. I wanted the students to sort of experience my workflow which works for me, so I thought it would work for them, is not living your whole life in the digital realm.
