Intimacy
- [Steve] Hey, everybody. My name is Steve Simon, The Passionate Photographer, and welcome to a brand new edition of Photo Critique of the Week. This week, I want to talk a little bit about intimacy, specifically images that communicate and have a sense of intimacy to them. And I wanted to show you a few pictures here. Now, this one was shot in an elevator. (laughs) Going up. And it's an unlikely shot, it's a mirrored elevator. But at the same time, Garry Winogrand says, "Photograph to see what things looked like photographed." and sometimes, you're surprised. This is not the kind of situation when you normally would take a picture, but Jennifer Dooley did. And you get something that's kind of fun and intimate at the same time. Elizabeth Feldman took this picture inside a restaurant. And again, there's an intimacy there. You can see the people at the front here, the warmth, the people passing by.
