- So you might notice that this lens doesn't exactly look like a lens at the moment, and that's because its shape is a bit hidden thanks to this camouflage covering. This is a lens coat from LensCoat themselves, and they are custom-made for each individual lens. And they're available for a variety of lenses. Here I have a 24 to 105-millimeter lens that has the LensCoat covering on it. And that just provides a little bit more comfortable feel. It's a neoprene padding, so it's a nice grip, nice and soft, and the lens is covered and protected so that it's less likely to get stretched or otherwise damaged, but because each lens coat is specifically tailored to the lens that it's intended for, all of the various controls are still available. I can still see the focusing distance indicator here, for example. And with a longer lens, I think it's even more important. You'll notice here, it is camouflaged.
